3 All about Christina Sinclair If you could learn to do something new, what would it be and why? I think I would love to learn Turkish as I spend many a holiday in Turkey. During my annual leave you will never find me in the country, I love to travel and have visited many countries with Turkey and Thailand being my favourite destinations. I think if I did not work in catering my next job should be in tourism! What is your hope for the future? My hope is that everyone does there bit to help the environment or there will be no future. Where is your ideal holiday destination? Definitely Turkey. It has amazing culture, food and hospitality. What is your most valuable or cherished possession? That would need to be my family, I love them dearly. If you were stuck on a desert island, what three items would you take and why? If I could only have three things they would be my mum, my phone and a power pack. Which do you prefer, dog or cat? I prefer dogs but due to work commitments I can’t have a dog so I’ll settle for my bunnies Marley and Maisie. My name is Christina but I am also known by the nickname Teenie. I have been working for the NHS for 25 years (time flies when you’re having fun!) with my whole career spent in catering at Stracathro. I studied catering and hospitality at Angus College and, before joining the NHS, I also had a short stint working at Hazelhead riding stables – a job I thoroughly enjoyed as I have a love of horses. I started working part time as a catering assistant covering the Stracathro shop and the canteen. I then moved to a full-time post in the main kitchen before becoming a diet cook then assistant head cook, which is my current position. spectra | Issue 96 Enjoying a meal in Budapest Paragliding in Olu Deniz in Turkey Christina with her mum Marley and Maisie
